A.   OFFICIAL SOUTH AFRICAN GI AND OFFICIAL SOUTH AFRICAN DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN LOGOS

The official South African Geographical Indication (GI) logo or official South African Designation of Origin logo (DO), as the case may be, shall be used on the agricultural products enjoying protection as a registered South African GI or registered South African DO.

  

B.   THE RULES ON USING THE OFFICIAL SOUTH AFRICAN GI LOGO AND THE OFFICIAL SOUTH AFRICAN DO LOGO

 1. SIZE AND POSITION

  • The dimensions of the logo shall not be smaller than 15mm x 15mm in size.
  • The logo shall have a space of minimum 4mm around it from the edge of a label, other text or images.
  • The display of the logo on the product or its label shall be in the same field of view as the registered GI name.
  • The logo shall not be altered, cropped or distorted.
  • No part of the logo shall be removed.
